While the forestry helmets are typically issued for fire evacuation operations, they can be used as spares for technical rescue operations. They are not approved for water operations, however.
Four forestry helmets are kept in the Special Operations Support Unit in the event volunteers respond from locations where they don't have access to their own personal safety gear.
Helmets are stored in the right forward shelf area.
