STOKES BASKET Updated March 8, 2019 The Stokes Basket is designed to carry injured people out of the back country or other situations where a gurney cannot be rolled. When stored on Rescue-3 the Iron Duck Backboard is kept strapped inside the basket. However the basket has numerous other purposes. The Stokes Basket provides an excellent means to transport gear to an incident site. The Stokes Basket is hung on the right side wall in Rescue 3.
