  LRTC WILD HORSE
ADOPTION ALBUM
Fish Creek Suzi, ID# L307
Suzi serves as an example as to how smart and willing most of these mares have been.

Suzi lives in Foster Care at the old Stagecoach Roping Arena, also formerly known as "The Camel Farm," since until recently camels lived there. She is a companion to Spirit, a BLM mustang, and they have the run of a huge roping arena. This is a large area in which to try to gentle a horse so volunteer Betty Retzer simply spent time interacting with Spirit and allowed Suzi to creep in and check things out.

Suzi's favorite toy is a blue stall ball. When she wants attention she'll roll it towards Betty or pick it up and fling it at her. It shouldn't take much to tame this mare.

Suzi and Betty
"I like the ball!"
Approaching Betty's hand
Touching Betty's hand
Not afraid to lower her head
"Hmmm... Did you put on fresh socks?"
Approaching Betty
"I have hay!"
"Here's your reward."
"I think you dropped some."
Being silly

Suzi was adopted by Betty Retzer of Stagecoach, NV, another "Foster Care failure." (Our Foster caregivers keep getting attached to and adopting their horses!) Dan was adopted by Gorden and Lavonne Hutting of Mound House, NV.
