Emergency Response Trailers

This information sheet is primarily intended for persons associated with or working with the LRTC Emergency Response Team, however the information may be useful to other groups or private individuals who may wish to similarly equip a support unit or who may need to utilize the resources available from LRTC's Emergency Response Team.
The trailers typically fielded by LRTC to horse emergencies are stock trailers of similar design and similarly equipped. Trailer 3 (shown in this resource guide) is also the trailer generally used as a horse ambulance. All trailers are equipped for night operations. All trailers except Trailer #1 carry loading and containment panels and the interiors can be divided into two separate carrying compartments. Trailer #1 carries other support equipment.)

The following inventory is carried on all trailers with the exception that Trailer 1 carries no portable panels.
- Equipment stored in utility boxes
- Large utility line
- Utility cord
- 12 pieces of bailing twine
- Cattle marking crayons
- Glow stick
- Personal safety whistle
- 4) 14-inch chains with quick links
- 4) 18-inch chains with quick links and padlocks
- Affixed to the trailer body
- Minimum of 66 feet of 6 foot tall corral panels
- Portable fire extinguisher
- Sorting stick with flag
- Rescue Clip
- Tow vehicle inventory
- First aid kit
- Portable fire extinguisher
- Retroreflective vest
- CB Radio
- Maglite style flashlight
- Recovery strap
- Duct tape
- Flagging tape
- Emergency pack

Various chains for securing panels, Z-rig loading webbing, utility webbing.

Transport 3 right rear inventory.
Utility box "HALTERS - ROPES"
Halter & lead, utility rope, bailing twine, cattle marking crayons, glow stick, emergency whistle.

Small items are now carried on a plastic storage box in the ammo box.
