OLYMPIC WILD HORSE & BURRO PROJECT
Part Eighteen

At work in the Horse Course

Fine Horses!

These turned out to be some pretty special horses. Remember that they were gentled and worked by someone different every day and some of the volunteers had never worked with a wild horse before! This project proves that patience, understanding, a safe environment and proven wild horse gentling methods can and will get the job done.
Dusty, Jean, Spirit, James, Magic, Eva and Lucky
It's fun to get all the horses together in the horse course. Eva even brought out Lucky to round out the crowd.

Since the horses had been moved and sorted by wranglers on horseback in the holding facility, we rode around them on Havilynn the Clyde, and even ponied them, so they wouldn't be afraid of people on horseback.

Spirit was "most improved" horse and Lucky also did quite well.
