On the job as a blocking unit alongside Interstate 80 for horses loose on the interstate.

This information sheet is primarily intended for persons associated with or working with the LRTC Emergency Response Team, however the information may be useful to other groups or private individuals who may wish to similarly equip a support unit or who may need to utilize the resources available from LRTC's inventory during an emergency.

ISU-1 was built to provide support and additional equipment for a variety of incidents including, but not limited to, highway / transportation incidents, water rescues, critical foal rescues, staging area support, prolonged incident support (including shelter and rehab for personnel,) and specialized veterinary medical supplies.

  Exterior Cabinet Inventory

Cabinet 1:(Upper shelf)
Construction netting (snow fencing.)

Cabinet 1: (lower shelf)
Drop cones with flags, staging cones, "shoreline" for connecting generator to vehicle.

Cabinet 2:
Water rescue PFDs, Becker Water Rescue Harness, floating ropes and throw bags,
emergency triangle reflector stands, MUTCD traffic cones.

Cabinet 3:
Top shelf: Tire chocks, portable light, mule tape and EVAC box (ribbons, colored tape, markers.)
Bottom shelf: Bolt cutters, collapsible ladder, rope rescue gear, anchor ring, generator, extension cords.

Cabinet 4:
Foal carry-all (not shown), Incident Ahead sign, fence and gate repair box.

Cabinet 5:
Brush fire jackets, vet med bag, traffic wands and traffic flag,
light wands and flashlights, mechanic's tool box, rechargeable flashlight.

Cabinet 6: (Summer compliment)
Portable outhouse, portable toilet, collapsible garbage can, cooling mister.
