RESOURCE GUIDE

Rescue 1
Updated May 31, 2025
Garage location: Stagecoach, NV

This information sheet is primarily intended for persons associated with or working with the LRTC Emergency Response Team, however the information may be useful to other groups or private individuals who may wish to similarly equip a support unit or who may need to utilize the resources available from LRTC's inventory during an emergency.

Rescue 1 was built to provide a compact and rapidly deployable technical large animal rescue unit that also has reasonable off-road capability. It is a hand-me-down Type-6 brush fire / rescue unit that is 4-wheel drive, has a 250 gallon tank, a PTO pump and a strong front mount winch.

The inventory carried on Rescue-1 is limited to better address the need for a light-weight, first-out unit equipped to handle the majority of our technical calls. The heavy extrication and incident support equipment are carried on Rescue-2, our TLAR Heavy Rescue unit. An information sheet on that unit can be viewed Here.
